2017 Scanning Results
Almost 6,000 ewes were put to the ram this year with the following results:
4,244 Mixed aged ewes averaged 180%
1,587 Ewe lambs averaged 91%
The ewe lambs slightly struggled with second quality forage and could have been pushed harder but overall there was a good twinning rate and very few empty, so with over 9,000 lambs forecast it’s going to be a busy Spring.
